Music and Dance
As an integral part of our communities, music and dance have remained despite attempted policies and forced assimilation. Music and dance are used in community and public events all over and are alive and well today. Learning on the Land
Learning from the land is about more than just outdoor fun. It is about connecting to the world around us and discovering what it must teach us, how it talks to us and how it takes care of everyone around it. This section is all about establishing a connection to the land and having a fun time doing so. Click on the dropdown to enjoy our learning on the land activities.
Storytelling has always been an integral part of our way of life for First Nation, Inuit and Métis peoples. They bring us together, share a past, explain the inexplicable, instruct, and powerful stories can carry a great impact on children. Our platform would be remiss without a content-packed story section for you and the little ones to enjoy. We invite you to join us in our virtual circle as our educators share some of our cultural stories.
Indigenous Language Sharing
Language is a major foundation for culture. Words hold the knowledge that has been amassed for centuries in Indigenous communities. Connection to our linguistic history strengthens our sense of identity and belonging. In this language section, we are proud to share and establish a crucial connection to our languages.
